Though Always On Display isn’t something new but even the old features look much appealing when you run them on the latest devices. In case of Always On Display, Samsung has done improvements. Though it is a very cool feature but lately it is the center of concern for Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus users. For some, it is a distraction and for some, it drains the battery juice, doesn’t matter on which side you are on. If you want to turn off Always On Display, here we will explain how you can do that.
The biggest concern is on the battery side, what happens is that Always On Display keeps your device’s screen on, well, a small area, at least. It good to have some basic things showing up on the screen but this comes at a cost and that concerns the battery timing. Always On Display remains on all the time, that why it is named so and depletes the battery. Therefore, it is better you turn it off.
Turn Off Always On Display on Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus and Save Battery Life
- Unlock your Galaxy S8 or S8 Plus and navigate to Settings. You can also pull the notification bar down and open Settings from there.
- Now scroll down to Lock Screen and Security option and tap on it.
- Below the Secure Lock Settings, you will see the Always on Display On feature turned on. Turn the toggle adjacent to Always On Display to turn it Off.
